Sam’S Koffie - West

I been here like 4 times for breakfast now. I got the summer bowl three times and then my last day in Amsterdam I got the Acai bowl. I really like th granola in the dish. I got oatmilk latte three times and then a flat white the last time. I have enjoyed all of it and service is very warm and kind. It is always nice when the servers speak to you with a friendly smile. I hope I can come one more time before I return home!

The best Acai bowl i've ever had. The iced coffee comes with an orange slice and it's incredible. Worth the walk.

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon for some studying time. The café was not overly crowded, and the background music is pleasant. The staff is friendly, and they provide Wi-Fi and WC. Some of the tables are laptop-free, so you need to choose your seat carefully if you want to use your laptop. They also offer charging outlets. My flat white was decent. I would definitely consider revisiting or checking out their other locations in Noord.

I met Nassim when he began Sam's coffee. Since the first day, he has always been such a friendly and optimist person. He quickly created a community around his coffee place. People really enjoy being there and you can feel it in the environment. We go there several times a week with my family and we always feel at home. For me, it's the best coffee place around. Friendly, beautiful, good coffee. Could not ask for more!

This cafe is deffo one to go to! The coffees were lovely especially the cappuccinos! The acai bowl and summer bowl were both delicious, although if you don’t like cinnamon type of spice flavour, ask without granola. The staff were lovely as well as the interior would deffo go again!

Further inside, there’s a gentle flow of movement between tables, bar, and door, but it never feels cramped or hectic. The herringbone wood floor adds warmth and texture, grounding the space and reinforcing that relaxed neighborhood feel. From the photo alone, you can sense that this is a place where time stretches a little—where having “just one coffee” easily turns into staying much longer than planned. That same ease carries through to the menu. Sam’s offers a wide range of coffees, from classic espresso drinks to iced options, all done with care rather than fuss. The quality is reliable, which suits the setting perfectly—this is a café you return to often, not a one-time novelty stop. Alongside the coffee are juices and smoothies, giving the place an all-day appeal that fits naturally with the local crowd drifting in and out. What truly distinguishes Sam’s, though, is how tahini appears across both drinks and food, adding a subtle but memorable twist. The tahini latte is a standout, bringing a nutty, slightly savory depth that feels comforting and unexpected, especially in a space this calm and understated. That same flavor shows up in baked goods and small bites, where tahini elevates familiar café fare into something quietly distinctive without overpowering it. Taken together—the light-filled room, the unpretentious design, the steady presence of locals, and the thoughtful menu—Sam’s Koffie feels deeply rooted in its neighborhood. It’s not trying to impress; it’s trying to be dependable, welcoming, and just a little bit special. Amazing place, great music coffe and atmosphere. The best part is the apple cinnamon cake that brought us here the day after.

Stayed in the area for couple of days and Sam's place was the highlight. Enjoyed coffee and other offerings everyday. I found the place really welcoming. Definitely recommend this place.
